Dr. Simon N. Mbugua
Dr. Simon Mbugua successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis and graduated in December 2020 with a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Nairobi.
Dr. Mbugua’s interests are in chemistry for sustainable development in addressing health challenges in society. His Ph.D. thesis was on synthesis of Organometallic compounds for anticancer application. He is experienced in advanced inorganic synthetic and characterization procedures using an inert environment. He has several publications in peer-reviewed journals together with contribution to a book chapter. He is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry together with other professional bodies. His future interests are in coming up with novel synthetic drug prototypes reaching clinical trials for anticancer applications.
