The University of Nairobi Chemistry Students (UNICSA) participated in international E-waste Day Awareness Creation on Dangers & Opportunities of E-waste at WEE Centre, Embakasi on 14th Oct 2019.
To promote awareness of the correct disposal of electrical and electronic equipment throughout the world, WEE Centre with other partners including the UNICSA, Safaricom, Ministry of Environment organized International E-Waste Day which was held on 14th October 2019. This event was to create and mobilize both private sector and the public Institutions to help in creating awareness on the dangers and opportunities of e-waste across the country.
This day was set aside by WEE Centre to encourage people to repair the electronic devices and those that are not repairable can be taken to Safaricom nearest centre, WEE Centre or any public institution for disposal.
