Introduction
The Department of Chemistry is located in the College of Biological and Physical Sciences (CBPS), one of the six colleges which make up the University of Nairobi . The main entry to the college is along Riverside drive (off Chiromo Road) about two kilometers from the center of Nairobi city .

Institute of Biomedical Research, USA and the co-founder of Seedings Lab,
Dr Nina Dudnik, will visit the Department of Chemistry on Wednesday, 8th
February 2012 and then give a seminar.

Preface
This document presents the programme of oral examination and abstracts of our fourth year
projects as a partial fulfilment for the award of their BSc degrees- in chemistry and industrial
chemistry. Although oral examination is an annual event in the Department, but each year
presentations are different because the projects are unique in special ways.
