PLANET De-TOX Description: The Department of Chemistry spearheads research on pesticides and persistent organic pollutants in the country. Our research activities cover pesticides and POPs residue analysis in environmental compartments, and fate and transport studies. The Department has established collaborations with different national and international agencies. Our work on sampling and analysis of POPs in ambient air, which is supported by UNEP/GEF project featured in the MOVIE entitled PLANET De-TOX.
